At COAST Veterinary Medicine & Ultrasound, we work in partnership with veterinarians on the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter to deliver mobile veterinary ultrasound, diagnostics and medical advice for veterinary patients.
As a mobile service, COAST Veterinary Medicine & Ultrasound, allows veterinarians to offer speciality pet care in their own practice, ensuring the primary veterinarian remains the main point of contact for the pet owner. This in turn provides continuity of care, clear communication and most importantly, familiarity for the pet owner and their pet.

Internal Medicine Specialist
A Central Coast native, Sonia graduated from The University of Sydney and began her career in mixed practice in rural NSW. She then travelled to the United Kingdom where she worked, in between travelling through Europe, Africa and North America.

She returned to the NSW Central Coast, working in general practice for 5 years before starting a Small Animal Medicine residency at Murdoch University, Perth in 2005. She obtained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (FANZCVS) in 2010 and has since worked in speciality practice as a small animal Internist in Brisbane, Sydney and the NSW Central Coast.

Sonia is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA), Treasurer of the Small Animal Medicine chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS), and is Recover CPR certified.
​
A highly regarded Veterinary Medical Specialist and diagnostician, Sonia's areas of special interest include diagnostic imaging, endoscopic foreign body removal, neurology, haematology, and lower urinary tract disease.
